Dr. Philip Kaviyil was appointed as the Director of Karunalayam & Santhwanam by Archbishop Mar George Njaralakatt on 13th May 2017. He is a priest of the Archdiocese of Thalasserry. "Last Supper and the Lasting Fellowship" is the theme of his doctoral thesis which was defended at the University of Innsbruck, in Austria. He was ordained as a priest by Archbishop Mar George Valiamattam in the year 1997.

Four Sisters of Destitutes & One Regency Brother assist the Director to run the house.
The Reverend Sisters who belong to the Congregation of the Sisters of Destitute offer their selfless service for the betterment of the members of the house. They are committed to serve the patients and poor inhabitants of the house round the clock.
The Reverend Brother who is serving the poor and discarded members of the society, is always available for every need of the members of this house.
The Reverend Sisters who offer their time & efforts for the improvement of the life of the sick and destitute.
